The purpose of the Corrections committee is to coordinate the work of individual A.A. members and groups who are interested in carrying our message of recovery to alcoholics behind the walls, and to set up means of smoothing the way from the facility to the larger A.A. community through prerelease contacts.

Driver Intervention
Ohio’s Driver Intervention Program is an alternative to the mandatory three-day jail term that first-time offenders convicted of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or other drugs may attend at the court’s discretion. This program offers a unique opportunity for interested A.A. groups to sign up for a commitment. Three A.A. members should attend each committed date and share their experience, strength, and hope with those who have recently been convicted of operating a vehicle under the influence for the first time.
Driver Intervention is held at the following locations:
- Rossford (weekly) Courtyard by Marriot, 9789 Clark Drive, Rossford, OH
- Holland (monthly) Courtyard by Marriot, 1435 E Mall Drive, Holland, OH
Please contact the Correction Committee Chairs Kenneth or Geneva at corrections.chair@area55aa.org to verify your group’s driver intervention commitment or with any questions.
